Dangers of Drugs

Whether you’re a teenager considering experimenting with drugs, a drug user, a concerned friend and citizen, or a worried parent, it’s vital for us all to be informed about the negative health effects of illicit drugs and alcohol.

But be warned: this information is unashamedly one-sided. Unlike a lot of the information available to young people today, our booklet does not seek to give “both sides” of the story about drugs because the experience of Salvation Army workers at the coalface is that there is no positive side to illicit drug use and alcohol abuse.

We make no apologies for telling you about the dangers of drugs only. There are plenty of people to sell you the lie about what a great experience you’ll have. We’d rather inform you about the long-term negative effects on that most precious organ, your brain, as well as almost every other part of your body.
