ووقع الحادث نتيجة اصطدام بين جيب من نوع "هونداي" وسيارة من نوع "مرسيدس" على الطريق بين مدينتي خانيونس ورفح، حيث جرى نقل القتلى والمصابين الى مشفى ناصر.
